Amarula Limited has active offices all around the world. Developing one website to meet such large scale corporate demands was a challenge. The Amarula Limited website has gone through several cycles over the years.
One of the earliest developments, when the company was somewhat smaller, employed metaphors relating to a desk in a law office. Web site pages were on actual pages, while navigation was casually typed out on a separate piece of paper strewn over the "desk." Olivier Designs also introduced a Chinese language version early on to compliment the company's successful China branch.
In 2006 the website recieved a complete overhaul to reflect the significant growth it had experienced. The new design was far more corporate-inspired, yet maintained a sense of energy through bright colors and a stunning flash movie advertising the company's services on the home page.
The following year Amarula Limited began to invest a great deal more in personalizing its services, offering simple solutions clients could understand. The corporate feel of the site no longer suited the way Amarula Limited wanted to present itself to clients. The new site became easy-to-use and informative with simple illustrations to help visitors easily find and understand potentially complicated business options or services. Language was also largely adjusted for easy readability and comprehension.
