Stigting Afrikaner Asielsoekers Internasionaal or The International Association of African Asylum-seekers, is an organization reporting on the violent crimes occuring in South Africa and Zimbabwe. Through public education about real crimes the not-for-profit organization aims to instill more compassion into the hearts of immigration workers dealing with South African emmigrants seeking a safer home for their families.
The organization takes on a very serious role, but does not wish to scare people with exaggerated horror stories. S.A.A.I. takes its reports on crime directly from local South African newspapers. Statistics discovered by the United Nations and local sensus are used to prove a point. The home page reflects the gravity of these crimes by placing the visitor just outside, as a curious/concerned neigbor or bystander. Quotes from newspaper articles are "echoed" under police tape bearing the name, Stigting Afrikaner Asielsoekers Internasionaal. The rest of the website is easy to understand and is organized in a clear manner, because there has been much confusion concerning the status of crime in South Africa in recent years. Navigation clarity and article organization, therefore, took great priority during development.
