The Sign Genie Project aims to develop computer software which can read and understand human sign language through a web cam and also convert text, speech, and human sign language input to a digital avatar. The 3D avatar in question recreates the message accurately using sign language.
The idea behind the software is that it works, "like magic." Actually it is the brilliance of the programmers and graphic artists behind The Sign Genie Project. The logo incorporates a a stylized genie emerging from a lamp. Different variations of the logo include hands, making the intention of the project clear from the logo.
